On October 28, Dearing Compressor proudly joined the United Way Volunteer Resource Center’s Pack the Valley event — a powerful day of community service focused on fighting hunger across the Mahoning Valley.
Dearing sent two teams of ten employees who volunteered their time and energy to help assemble meals for local families in need. Alongside more than 400 volunteers from local businesses, schools, and community organizations, our teams worked hard, laughed together, and made a difference for neighbors in need.
Thanks to everyone’s combined efforts, 133,520 shelf-stable meals were packed in just one day! These meals will be distributed through Gleaners Food Bank, MYCAP, Heartreach Ministries, and United Way, reaching people in the Mahoning Valley who need them most.
We’re incredibly proud of our Dearing family for living out our values of teamwork, service, and community spirit. Pack the Valley proved what’s possible when we come together with purpose — and we’re already looking forward to the next opportunity to make a difference!
