Air Receivers are a critical component in a properly designed compressed air system. While almost every industrial plant has one, it is often misunderstood why, or how to properly size them.

In addition to evening out your air demand by providing additional storage, air receivers are also used to:

• Remove condensation (with the addition of an automatic drain)
• Dampen pulsation
• Prolong air dryers when placed before the air dryer
• Provide enough “volume” so that compressor controls respond appropriately
• Provide ideal models of efficiency when used with flow control valves or “demand expanders”
